Concord, North Carolina - The City of Concord is requesting Statements of Interest from interested parties to lease an available hangar facility at Concord-Padgett Regional Airport in Concord, North Carolina for the purpose of engaging in commercial or non-commercial aeronautical activities.
The City of Concord is conveniently located 25 miles northeast of Charlotte, North Carolina. The Airport encompasses approximately 750 acres of land and has one runway (Runway 02/20). There are 205 aircraft based at the Airport and general aviation aircraft operations range between 52,000 and 68,000 annually.
Over the last 5 years, the City has completed a significant number of capital improvement projects at the Airport. These projects include upgrades to the General Aviation Terminal Building, runway strengthening and new lighting systems, strengthening of taxiways and taxilanes in addition to apron areas, as well as expansion of the City’s fuel storage facility. The City is anticipating completion of a wayfinding project, rehabilitation vehicle parking areas, expansion and rehabilitation of apron and taxilanes, and a runway widening and shoulder enhancement project in the next 3-5 years.
The available hangar facility is located south of the General Aviation Terminal Building and west of Runway 02/20. Situated on 25,487 square feet, the facility consists of community hangar, office, shop, and vehicle parking.
